The BESC 2024 Workshop on Intelligent Models for Language and Cross-Cultural Education aims to bring together experts and scholars from diverse fields to explore the intersection of language learning, cross-cultural understanding, and the application of intelligent technologies in education. This Workshop provides a platform for discussing how we can harness these advancements to enhance language acquisition, foster deeper cross-cultural awareness, and create more inclusive and effective educational environments.

We invite submissions that explore the following themes and related subtopics:

  • Intelligent Language Learning Technologies: Discussing the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other technologies in language learning, including adaptive learning systems, natural language processing, and speech recognition.
  • Cross-Cultural Perspectives in Education: Contributions that explore the intersection of language and culture in educational settings, addressing issues such as cultural sensitivity, intercultural communication, and the role of language in identity formation.
  • Intelligent Approaches to Cross-Cultural Understanding: Papers proposing innovative ways to use intelligent technologies to enhance cross-cultural understanding, such as virtual reality simulations, augmented reality experiences, or data analytics for cultural comparison.
  • Language and Cross-Cultural Education Policies and Practices: Contributions analyzing current policies and practices in language and cross-cultural education, discussing their effectiveness, and proposing improvements.
  • Case Studies and Empirical Research: Papers presenting case studies or empirical research on the implementation of intelligent models in language and cross-cultural education settings, including quantitative and qualitative analyses.

We encourage submissions that are interdisciplinary, innovative, and practical, with a focus on addressing real-world challenges in language and cross-cultural education.
