The Demonstration Track of the 12th International Conference on Behavioral and Social Computing (BESC 2025) provides an engaging and highly interactive way to showcase your research related to behavioral and cognitive science, data science, finance, social science and AI for science. Demo submissions are solicited in all areas of AI applications, practice, technology, and theory. All demo submissions need to:

  • Motivate the demonstrated concepts,
  • Describe the system and the technology,
  • Detail the features and scenarios that will be demonstrated,
  • Pinpoint the novelty and significance of the contribution, and
  • (Optional) Provide URLs of a screencast video (up to 10 minutes), screenshots, and additional external material (e.g., shared code on GitHub).

Demo submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Potential usefulness and impacts,
  • Functionality,
  • Potential for engagement with the audience,
  • Novelty, and
  • Successful use cases.

We welcome submissions on all topics in the general areas of:

  • Cognitive science,
  • Big data management,
  • Domain-specific/advanced intelligent information systems,
  • Data science,
  • AI for science,
  • AI for social good, and
  • Advanced AI applications in education, sport science, behavioural and psychological sciences, computational social science, business and marketing, etc.

Important Dates

  • Special Session Papers Submission: 15 July 2025
  • Acceptance Notification: 15 August 2025
  • Camera-Ready Submission: 08 September 2025
  • Conference Date: 16-18 Oct 2025

Paper submission instruction

Demo submissions must be in English and prepared in accordance with the given submission guidelines for the conference. Only electronic submissions in PDF format will be considered.

All papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee on the basis of technical quality, relevance to BESC 2025, originality, significance and clarity.

Please note:

  • Demo submissions are single-blind reviewed and hence authors do not need anonymization.
  • Demo submissions must not be under review for any other publishing forum or presentation venue (including conferences, workshops, and journals) during the time they are being considered for BESC 2025.
  • Submission of a demo paper should be regarded as a commitment that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and attend the conference to present the work.
  • Furthermore, after you submit to BESC 2025, you must await our response and only resubmit elsewhere if your demo is rejected (or withdrawn at your request). This restriction applies to identical submissions as well as to submissions with a substantial overlap in scientific content and results. Demo submissions will be included in the conference proceedings.
  • The use of artificial intelligence (AI)–generated text in an article shall be disclosed in the acknowledgements section. The sections of the paper that use AI-generated text shall have a citation to the AI system used to generate the text.
